Shehar Bano
Research Scientist
I am a Research Scientist at Meta’s Novi (based in London), focusing on blockchain security, performance, and economics. My research interests center on networked and distributed systems, particularly in the context of security and measurement. My key areas of research include blockchains, information control, internet measurement, and malware and intrusion detection. Previously, I was a co-founder and researcher at chainspace.io, a scalable smart contracts platform. I also worked on the security, performance, and applications of blockchains as a postdoc at University College London. I received my PhD degree from the University of Cambridge in 2017.
