I am a Research Scientist on the Core Data Science team at Meta. My research focuses on leveraging methods from machine learning, data science, and natural language processing to answer questions at the intersection of social technology, health and well-being. I am also interested in challenges related to measurement, validity and bias in machine learning. Prior to Meta, I earned a PhD in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, where I specialized in Social Computing. My published work on social media and health can be found in nature partner journals, PLOS one, Journal of Medical Internet Research, ACM CHI, CSCW (PACM HCI) and ICWSM.
