I support the Facebook Open Research and Transparency team on its governance work — helping to ensure that we enable independent academic researchers to access Facebook data to understand our impact on key social issues. My area of focus at Facebook is the tension between privacy for people and data utility for researchers.
Prior to Facebook, I held fellowships/affiliations at the Berkman Klein Center, Shorenstein Center, Global Governance Futures, the Luce Foundation, and Gates Cambridge. I completed my MPhil and PhD at the University of Cambridge, where I am a member of King’s College.
