UX Researcher
I am a mixed-method researcher on the User Experience Research team. My academic background was in industrial design, technical communication and HCI research. My doctoral research examined linguistic alignment observed in both human-computer interaction and computer-mediated communication. An experimentalist by training, I have been doing mostly qualitative research after finishing my PhD in communication (HCI) at Stanford. I started my UX research career at Oracle, and later joined Yahoo. Before joining Facebook, I was a lead researcher for PayPal’s P2P payment services and worked on a wide variety of projects for both desktop and mobile applications.
