Aaron Jiang

Quantitative UX Researcher

I'm a Researcher on the Central Integrity Research team, which conducts rigorous, human-centric research geared toward safeguarding people and communities from harm. I primarily conduct research to conceptualize and measure harm, and to build the foundational technologies that enable effective abuse detection and mitigation at scale. I employ both qualitative and quantitative methodologies in my research to inform strategic product execution and policy development, as well as to identify ways to minimize violations such as violence, hate, and terrorist propaganda. My research is published at venues such as the ACM CHI Conference on Human Factors in Computing Systems and the ACM Conference on Computer-Supported Cooperative Work and Social Computing (CSCW).

Prior to Meta, I obtained my PhD in Information Science from the University of Colorado Boulder, where I conducted academic research on community self-moderation.
