UX Researcher

I’m a UX researcher on the Growth team. I received my Ph.D. from the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. My past research involves using experiments and interviews to understand why and how people hide their information online. I’m familiar with both qualitative and quantitative research methods and always open to learning new methods from other domains. My passion lies in understanding people, and designing technology to better support people communicating with each other. During my Ph.D., I have interned at IBM research center and Facebook UX research team. Before CMU, I received a M.S. In Human Factors from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a B.Eng. in automotive design from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China.
