Meta Research

I am an Applied Scientist on Facebook’s Uncertainty team. My research interests lie in theory and application of machine learning, optimization, and statistical methods. We’re developing suitable uncertainty estimation techniques and learning algorithms to improve reliability and robustness of deep learning models.

Prior to Facebook, I was a Research Scientist at Amazon, and a quantum computing researcher at 1QBit. I received my PhD in mathematics from the University of Waterloo under supervision of Dr. Stephen Vavasis with research focus on first order algorithms and their applications in image processing.
