Meta Research

I’m an HCI researcher working on the UX research team on memories and celebrations. Prior to joining Facebook, I completed a PhD from UC Santa Cruz with advisor Steve Whittaker. My doctoral work focused on Technology Mediated Reflection (TMR), which is the use of technology to support reminiscence. I also did an internship at Xerox PARC, and two internships at Facebook researching memory products (Lookback videos, On This Day, etc). I’m interested in understanding what Facebook’s role should be in reminiscence, and how to be sensible stewards of personal memories.
