Research Scientist
I am a Research Scientist at Meta, where I work on large-scale ads recommendation systems to create personalized experience for Meta users and deliver the best value to advertisers. This is achieved by mining through a huge volume of noisy and sparse Meta data, artistic modeling, and perseverant experimentation. Prior to Meta, I earned my Ph.D. from Purdue University, where my research covered computational modeling of human visual system, machine learning, and its application to computational photography and computer vision. I also spent a few summers in Texas with Samsung Research America and Texas Instruments, where I worked on fun computer vision problems for mobile camera and automatic driver assistant system (ADAS). Before that, I obtained my B.S. from Tsinghua University, Beijing, in 2011.
