Meta Research

As the research manager for the Creation team I oversee research about how people create content and share it with friends and family through Facebook. I received my BA and MSc degrees from Stanford University where I studied applied anthropology – my emphasis was on ecotourism and sustainable development, and I spent several field seasons in the Peruvian Amazon studying tour group composition and its impact on the wildlife viewing experience. In 2013 I transitioned to the education technology space as a user researcher for digital products. Immediately prior to joining Facebook I spent several years building the UX research team at Udemy, an online teaching and learning platform. When not at work I’m an avid crafter, cook, baker and traveler.
