UX Researcher
I am a political communication specialist on the User Experience Research team at Facebook. Before joining Facebook, I was a professor at University of Pennsylvania’s Annenberg School of Communication, a professor at Cornell University’s Department of Government, a Democracy Fellow at USAID, and a Fellow at the Harvard Academy of International and Area Studies. My research examines the effects of exposure to political information and discussion on civic participation, knowledge, engagement and attitudes. I also study consumer sentiment and barriers to internet connectivity. I have extensive experience conducting research in developing countries and I use a variety of methods, including field experiments, surveys and qualitative interviews.
