Manager, Strategic Initiatives
I lead the Facebook Open Research and Transparency team where we are building programs that seek to share privacy-preserving Facebook data to benefit society and support research in the public interest. Before Facebook, I was a Data Scientist at a start-up Premise where I helped International Organizations understand policy impact through real-time econometric surveying. Prior to Premise, I worked as a consultant at another start-up Quid, and for the Government of Mexico and the City of Milwaukee’s Office of Environmental Sustainability. I also sit on the board of an NGO, Sweet Water Foundation, that seeks to bring STEM education into the classroom through urban agriculture. I received a Master’s from the Goldman School of Public Policy at the University of California Berkeley, where I focused on how to bolster the use of data for public policy.
