I am an engineering manager supporting ads ranking feature infrastructure and machine learning automation teams. We work on large scale machine learning feature infrastructure in ads domain to convert tons of signals into right knowledge representations to empower billion-dollar business. Machine learning automation in ads is trying to build models from scratch through efficient feature selection, hyper parameter tuning, auto feature representation learning and advanced model architecture search.

Before joining Facebook, I was a research software engineer at Microsoft where I implemented machine learning solutions for several Microsoft products such as Windows 8 search, Windows App Store recommendation and Xbox One ranking. I had a 1.5-year internship in machine learning group in Microsoft Research Asia where I focused on natural language processing.
