I am a PhD candidate at the University of Michigan, where I am pursuing my doctoral studies in both Information and Computer Science, advised by Florian Schaub and Nikola Banovic. As a Human-Computer Interaction researcher, I design and build consentful systems. Specifically, I combine systems-building, empirical methods, and theoretical approaches to tackle integrity issues on social platforms, such as privacy issues and online harassment. By focusing on the relationship between such issues and users’ consent, I research ways to improve social media’s privacy controls, safety tools, and business models to contribute to designing a safer internet. I received my Bachelor's degree from Korea University, where I studied Business Management and Computer Science.
