Josué J. López is a fifth-year PhD student at MIT, advised by Professor MarinSoljačić. His current research is focused on implementing novel photonic structures and concepts for on-chip technologies that can be used for imaging, sensing, and display technologies. He recently gave an invited talk on “Planar-lens Enabled Beam Steering for Chip-scale LIDAR” at the Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics 2018.

Josué holds a B.S. in Physics with Distinction in Research from Rice University and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. He has co-authored over ten publications in nanotechnology and photonics. For publications and more information please visit his scholar profile.
