Merlin Nimier-David is a PhD student at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, supervised by Prof. Wenzel Jakob. Merlin’s interests cover differentiable rendering, physically based rendering, and rendering systems.
He is one of the main contributors to the Mitsuba 2 renderer, published at SIGGRAPH Asia (2019). He previously interned at Facebook Reality Labs and Google Research.
