Minjoon Seo is a PhD candidate in the Allen School of Computer Science & Engineering at the University of Washington, advised by Hannaneh Hajishirzi, Ali Farhadi, and Oren Etzioni. His research focuses on data-driven learning models for extracting (IE), accessing (QA), and combining (Reasoning) knowledge from natural language. He co-organized the 1st Workshop on Machine Reading for Question Answering (MRQA) at ACL 2018 and the Tutorial on Standardized Tests as Benchmarks for AI at EMNLP 2018. He is the recipient of 2018 AI2 Key Scientific Challenges Award. Previously, he received BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at UC Berkeley.
