I am a second-year PhD student at the CleverHans Lab at the Vector Institute for Artificial Intelligence and the University of Toronto, supervised by Nicolas Papernot. I am also a graduate fellow at the Schwartz Reisman Institute for Technology and Society. My research interests are in the intersection of machine learning and privacy, and broadly, trustworthy machine learning. In particular, I study problems of machine learning governance. I have recently tackled questions of protecting the intellectual property of ML models through detecting and deterring model extraction (via dataset inference and proofs of learning). Previously, I was at the Security and Privacy Engineering lab (SPRING) at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), where I obtained my Master's in Data Science supervised by Carmela Troncoso. I completed my undergraduate studies at Isfahan University of Technology (IUT), supervised by Mohammad Hossein Manshaei in the Game Theory and Mechanism Design (GTMD) group.
