Samaneh Zamanifard is a Ph.D. student in the Human-Centered Computing (HCC) program at Clemson University being advised by Dr. Guo Freeman. Her research interest concerns the multi-dimensional dynamics of relationship building in social Virtual Reality (social VR), especially with regard to potential privacy and ethical issues emerging in these dynamics. She also endeavors to investigate how social VR affects some of the deepest and most meaningful aspects of human experiences. Samaneh received her master’s in Computer Engineering from the Islamic Azad University in Tehran, Iran.

Prior to joining Clemson, she had been working for 14 years as a system analyst and product owner involved in various software projects within different domains, including insurance systems, core banking, IPTV, BPMS, and android app store.
